The battle for the best dung is a serious one for dung beetles, and this pair was no exception. I came across them on top of a fresh pile of elephant dung, locked in an intense struggle for dominance. It was fascinating to watch as they rolled around, each trying to get the upper hand. In the end, one emerged victorious and claimed the prized dung ball as its own, ready to attract a mate and continue the cycle of life.
