The African savannah is a place where survival of the fittest is a daily struggle. Every living creature has one goal: to ensure the survival of their bloodline. And for lions, that means an endless display of love and commitment. As I captured this photo of a pair of mating lions, I couldn't help but be struck by their passion. Their silhouettes were illuminated by the rim-light, emphasising their bond and commitment to each other. Despite not hunting during this period, they continue to mate every 15-30 minutes for up to five days non-stop. It's a beautiful display of endless love, and a reminder of the power of commitment in the wild.
