It was during a late, overcast afternoon that we found this male leopard. Every photographer knows that it means fantastic soft light, but at the same time a huge challenge to get a sharp shot.
Because of the very soft light, I had to drop my shutter-speed to much below what I am usually comfortable with when photographing wildlife.
To my delight, this gorgeous male leopard was a fantastic model for these difficult conditions. He stood right next to our car for a long time, utterly still, and curiously watching us. I was holding my breath while pressing the shutter, trying to eliminate any kind of camera shake.
