One afternoon on a safari drive in the greater Kruger Park, we came across a pride of lions, with very young cubs.
Being cautious of the moms reaction to our presence with such young cubs, we approached very slowly and took our time to watch them at a distance at first. However we could see on the females behaviour that they were very comfortable with our presence and we decided to get closer.
To our surprise, the females were so unbothered and comfortable with our presence, that they didn’t flinch an eye when the young curious cubs started approaching the vehicle to investigate. That’s when I captured this portrait of the young cub, curious to see what we were about.
This is a testament to how respectful and cautious game viewing and photography, will grant you the most spectacular sightings and photographs.
